Introduction:

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University is the most ancient agricultural university in Bangladesh, situated in Sher-e-Bangla Nagor, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh.

Student Admission:


* Admission requirements for the B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) and B.Sc. Agribusiness Management (Hons.) Courses

* Students fulfilling the following requirements are eligible to apply -

SSC/Equivalent passed students in Science Group / Equivalent of the year 2005 or 2006. HSC a equivalent passed students of year the 2007 or 2008 having the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, with minimum GP 3 in each of these subjects. Securing a minimum GPA 3 in each of SSC and HSC Examinations with a combined GPA 7.5. In the subject English, GP 3 is minimum requirement in both SSC and HSC examinations.

* Cancellation of Admission

* If a student fails to maintain on an average 70% of the class attendance of the courses before form fill up of the semester final examination Level-I, Semester-1, his/her admission shall automatically stand cancelled.

* Admission to Masters and Ph.D Course

* A separate instruction brochure is available at the office of the Coordinator (CASR) and Deputy Registrar (Academic), The students interested to get admission into M.S or Ph.D course may obtain the same on payment of necessary charges.

* Admission of Foreign Students are

* Foreign students interested for admission in any course of this University must apply well in advance through their respective mission in Bangladesh to the Ministry of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka-1000 enclosing evidence of examinations passed and transcripts of academic accomplishments. After submission of application within the stipulated date, the admission committee of the University will review the candidate's eligibility for admission.

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) is located in the heart of the capital city Dhaka covering the area of more than 87 acres. This beautiful, bucolic and serene campus is an ideal place for agricultural education and scientific research.

SAU's history can be traced back to 1938. The term ‘Sher-e-Bangla' comes from its founder the then chief Minister of undivided Bengal Sher-e-Bangla A K Fazlul Huq, who laid down the foundation stone of this historic institution, then known as ‘Bengal Agricultural Institute'. With a history of transformations, SAU has become the 17th public university of the country in 2001.

At SAU, undergraduate and graduate programs are developing concurrently, with teaching and research as the two central tasks. There are 2 Bachelor's programs provided for undergraduate. Besides, the university offers Master's programs and Doctoral programs.

Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (Bengali: মাওলানা ভাসানী বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a government financed public university of Bangladesh. It is located at Santosh, Tangail.

Location:

Vasani science university. The district of Tangail belongs to the Dhaka division and is located in the north-west of Dhaka. MBSTU is situated at Santosh in the northwestern part of Tangail. New department will be open next year.


Campus life

The students live in four distinctive dormitories. Three of the dormitories are for the gents and the fourth is for the ladies. Several multistoried dormitories with all kinds of modern facilities are under process of deployment.

The official activities are maintained by the administrative department of MBSTU which is divided into several sub departments. MBSTU has a health care centre to provide appropriate health care to the students, and a Physical Education Department which organizes different departmental sport events and runs the gymnasium to facilitate the students to keep sound health.

Various cultural activities such as Ekushe february, Sadhinota Dibosh, Bijoy Dibosh, Nobo Borsho, Pohela Falgun and Boshonto Boron are celebrated annually. Besides these national annual events, the students are offered activities such as programming contests, seminars on the environmental crisis, and film festivals.

Different types of indoor-outdoor games held in here. Friendly behave of honerable teachers makes life so precious. Teachers-student cricket/football match is the most attractable event.
